Our spring break is always the week immediately following Easter, which is April 21 next year. (Seems really late!) Will the parks be less crowded at that time since most areas would have already had spring break, or do a fair number of school districts also follow the Easter = Spring Break schedule? I’d love to get back to WDW, but with kids in middle and high school, we can’t go unless they’re out for a few days, and we refuse to go when it’s mobbed. (I know, I know...use a touring plan and everything will be fine. Still a definite “no go” for us during peak times.)

Thanks!

Disney has a large marketing department who's ONE JOB is to make sure the parks and resorts are as close to 100% full every hour of every day.

Yes it will be crowded.

Wasn’t there this year late- we went early March and it was insane. I saw some recent footage of MK from this last Monday 4/11 and it was very low crowds. I think after Easter will always be less crowded than the week leading up to Easter but I wouldn’t count on it being empty.

Yes a late Easter helps everyone. We always straddle the last week of March first week of April and when Easter is late the crowds are noticeably lighter. We went this year, arrived on Easter and the crowds were insane.

Many school districts have their Spring Break the week after Easter. Seems pretty common. In Louisiana that is what we do but that may change next year because it doesn't allow us enough time to come back from the break and finish all the testing that the state mandates.

Anyway, after this year I will never do Spring Break again. I did Christmas just fine but Spring Break was ridiculous. I am sure a lot of it has to do with the fact that they staff the park 100% during Christmas. Spring Break, being more spread out, may not be running at full capacity which makes things back up even more despite similar crowd levels. Just a guess.

I think we will do Universal during Spring Break and WDW during Christmas.

The week following easter is busy, the crowds start to disperse the weekend following easter. So, in 2019 you can count on April 22 - April 26 being pretty busy but by each day after that you'll see it less and less crowded and by the next Monday (especially today in 2019) crowds will be pretty low.

We went this year over Easter break. Good Friday until following friday. It was crazy. Most ride had at least a 75 minute wait. Splash Mt was 110, Small world was 95 minutes. I spoke to a woman at AK that waited in line for 90 minutes to get quick service food. I will never go over a holiday again. People waited in standby for FOP for 31/2 hours.

We went the same week last year but Easter was toward the end of April. It wasn't as bad

It will be very very crowded. Maybe slightly less than an “early” Easter year but still very very crowded. Very.

We went this year the week before Easter. We usually go in June. It was definitely more crowded at Easter, but the weather was amazing!!!

We did universal two years ago during spring break and it was horrible! We ended up leaving because it was so awful. It was mainly just back in the Harry Potter area because the walkways are so narrow.

Our district is bumping spring break up to March next year...we've traditionally been the week after Easter.

Our Spring Break is always the last week of March. We are going to WDW next year for that week because my sister is a teacher here and I'm hoping, hoping the crowds will be manageable.
