Just have to vent a bit. DH teaches at a local university and DS is now in public school. While I know that the calendars won't necessarily match up for holidays and breaks, I'm so irritated. The did have their fall breaks at the same time this past year - this fall they are 1 week apart. Spring break, however, early March vs mid April right?? Oh no - back to back weeks. 
Seriously, if they are going to have the school break so early, why not match it to the university. 
So now DH is off one week and DS is off the next. Its ridiculous. I'm tempted to make them each take the opposite week off and just take 2 weeks total!!!!
Sorry to vent and I know that they both have separate calendar and requirements, but at some point when the school district and the university are pretty involved with each other (Education Dept) you'd think that they would pay a little more attention to schedules.
