Hey all !

Cos its my 40th next year on March 27, we are hoping to celebrate in style with another trip to WDW.

Luckily, Easter falls in mid April next year so we would avoid the easter crowds, but if anyone has any advice , dates, thoughts about spring break next year and if and how it may coincide with my dates (last week march, first week april). I read that SB is often associated with easter and is often a week before or after , but also that most schools have very different dates for it.

If anyone has any known dates for SB next year or any other details, it would be very much appreciated...I don't fancy a 2 hour queue on the mountains on my birthday :earboy2:

Thanks!

Paul

PS For the last so many times we have gone in late September, just so you know what kind of crowds weve been lucky to get lol

I don't know about any dates, but DH & I went Easter Break 2004, and kept our expectations low, knowing it would be extremely crowded. We had our best trip ever! I'm not kidding. We had one day at the Mk that we just had to get out of there, but we decided before we left to schedule a KTTK tour that day and it worked out great. We took the early tour and then had lunch at CHH. We were going to hang out for a while at MK after the tour, but it was just too crowded, so we decided to go over to the Poly and rent one of the little water boats. That was a lot of fun, then we walked over to GF, looking around a bit on the way. We ate dinner at Gasparilla's, then took the monorail back over to MK and the crowds had thinned out quite a bit. MK was open really late that night, so we got to ride all the rides we hadn't gotten on during the tour. It turned out to be a very nice day. We did a lot of touring of other resorts and took advantage of early mornings sometimes, or late nights others. Most of the families took kids back to the hotel rooms early, so we made sure to see 2nd showings of fireworks (Wishes, Fantasmic) and SpectroMagic.
DH & I both think it was the best of our 11 trips so far!

We did week after Easter this year, NEVER NEVER again. Had prepared myself and two DSS for the crowds but I was really completely overwelhmed. Knew when we got a FP for Test Track six hours later I was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Thank goodness it's only two months til next trip, summer crowds seem managable. Good luck :flower:

I would like to know the answer also. I am also considering going the last week in March as that is when my son has spring break. Not sure what to expect for crowds. Am also considering taking him out of school (as he will only be in 1st grade) the beginning of March as that is when we went last year and it was great. Weather was perfect and crowds were not bad at all. Spring break is just one of those things that are hard to guess on???

Thanks for the reports, its appreciated.

I'm not so sure now about going at that time! This year Easter fell within the times I'd want to go, so hopefully next year with Easter being mid april, would be a fair bit quieter. I'll be keeping my eyes open for any timetables for spring break next year, and keep my fingers crossed!

Why oh why couldn't my mother have had a 6 month long headache all those years ago so I would be born in september lol

Thanks again for the input

Paul

We enjoyed our recent trip, and will probably take another during Spring Break next year as well. We went from April 2-9, when our two DS's were out of school. It was crowded, but with fast pass, we were able to do everything we cared about and more! You really can't beat the weather at this time of year, IMO. We did Typhoon Lagoon and rode the new slides there, (Crushin' Gusher, I think it's called). I wouldn't worry about the crowds. Everyone was in a great mood and was very considerate of others, since the heat and humidity weren't making everyone cranky! We stayed at the CR, so it was really convenient to stroll over to the MK whenever we wanted, and had a rental car for getting around to the rest of the world. Having lived in Florida, I don't think I could take the heat of summer for long enough to enjoy the parks, but then, I'm getting older and crankier regardless of the weather anyway! ;)
