Hi friends!

Did anyone get a spray tan before their Disney wedding in the Orlando area? Is there a place that is recommended to go? We will have a rental car so I can schlep myself and my bridesmaids somewhere outside of Disney to get it done. Just thought I'd see if anyone had any ideas.. Thanks!

Have you considered that a new spray tan may rub off on your dress?

I most certainly have and am a little freaked about it but I have skin cancer so I can't do tanning beds and I'm from NJ so being pale on my wedding day in July isn't an option :) it's worth the risk to me!

It might be worth asking your hair and makeup person if there is anyone they recommend (if you're using a local one). I know my hair and makeup person also offers spray tan services if desired, so it's possible they might have some excellent recommendations.

As far as running on your dress, you shouldn't have a problem. I've had a couple done, once for prom, and never had any issues. You have to wait so long, maybe 4 hrs, before washing or swimming or getting wet. After that it's usually good to go.

Whatever you choose I'd definitely recommend trying it once a good deal before the wedding - and try and get a couple photographs taken. I'd rather be a very pale bride than an orange or streaky one if it turned out the the spray didn't pair well with my skin.

Oh I get spray tans all the time. Sorry, guess I wasn't clear.. I'm not looking for advice about getting a spray tan, just about where to get one in Orlando. But thanks anyway!

I'd get it done locally then if you get it done all the time...Can't you do it the day before you leave? The thing is you'd be better off going with somewhere you KNOW how you react.

For me I did a test run and it looked horrible on me so I decided not to and the porcelain look was way more flattering for me. My Irish heritage lends me to burn so I'd rather look white than orange.

As for it getting on the dress it almost always does according to the dry cleaner who just cleaned and professionally preserved my dress. Despite wearing my dress two days, eating at V&A and 1900 Park Fare and doing a two park photo shoot she said my dress was one of the cleanest dresses she's done. She had 35 in at the time with one in covered in red wine head to toe and lots with spray tan (as it's summer in Australia as that's where it was preserved although I'm in the UK now). If your dress has any silk on the bodice I'd be very careful....

Oh that's really cool! I've been asked so many times by my clients if that its possible to get a spray tans before their Disney Wedding. I'm actually very new to that idea and forgive me for that. I will monitor this thread for real.

I'm with you! I'm getting married in March - have strawberry blonde hair and can't tan to save my life!! I've been using WeddingWire.com to look for recommendation on local vendors for hair/makeup and spray tan. I'm from KC and had one done Friday late in KC for our pics that were Sunday morning. I didn't shower until late Saturday and it was perfect on Sunday. May be an option if you have a go to place at home and not too much time between home and wedding day. I just did a quick yelp search and this is the list they have...let me know if you find any success http://www.yelp.com/search?cflt=spraytanning&find_loc=Lake+Buena+Vista,+FL+32836

Thanks guys! Glad to hear I'm not the only one who cares about these things LOL. I spoke to my local spray tan gal and she said that since I am leaving to drive down to FL on a Wednesday morning, the latest I could do the spray at home is Tuesday night and since I'm getting married the following Sunday, it would probably fade. Plus since I'm driving a rental car for a zillion hours from NJ to FL id be concerned about sweating off the tan. The things you I'm worried about are so weird Hahaha.

Anyway I found a pretty highly rated mobile spray tan company that will come to my hotel room at GF. I'm looking into them and will report back! In the meantime if anyone on the boards has gotten a spray tan in Orlando let me know. It actually looks like Senses spa at GF has a spray tan for $55. So that's interesting and I might look into that too...

Just wanted to follow up on this thread post-wedding to recommend Infinite Glow mobile spray tanning for any future DisBrides looking to get an airbrush tan :smooth:. A woman named Robin came to my villa at the Poly on Thursday night for my wedding on Sunday and did an AWESOME job. The tan looked super natural and making the appointment was really easy. Plus they came to me! I'd post a picture of my tan, but I don't know how to post pictures on these threads (hence why I didn't do a planning journal LOL :p). Anyway, they were an awesome company and I'd definitely recommend them!

Ok my husband did this one day in a professional spray tan salon before we left on vacation in the Caribbean for his brother's wedding. He is a redhead (but now his hair is more auburn) and is paler than pale. When he came home that day, he really looked funny. It wasn't streaky or anything but he had some kind of orange glow that did not suit him. Also a fair warning when the stuff starts wearing off it starts to look streaky and terrible. I don't think he will ever do that again.LOL
I think it depends on your skin colour. If I had done the spray tan it would have looked more natural because my skin does turn that colour naturally in the sun. But on my husband's skin tone, it just looked not natural.
