So who do you want to win - or maybe you dont care :lmao:

My DH subjects the whole family to this every year - some Christmas tradition :confused3

Anyway DH wants Lewis Hamilton

I want to see Chris Hoy

Rebecca Adlington
Ben Ainslie
Joe Calzaghe
Nicole Cooke
Lewis Hamilton
Chris Hoy
Andy Murray
Christine Ohuruogu
Rebecca Romero
Bradley Wiggins

I'm really enjoying it, I want Lewis Hamilton to win :wizard:

I think Lewis will win, but will have to root for Joe Calzaghe :goodvibes

Congratulations to Chris Hoy a very worthy winner:thumbsup2

I wanted either Chris or Nicole Cook to win as what they have both achieved this year is remarkable, especially in a sport that doesn't get to be in the spotlight much or has the mega amounts of money available that others do.

Enjoyed SP08, was a good show. The ramp seemed to be a little dangerous though, the choir had no shoes on :rotfl2:

Wanted Lewis to win me, DBF wanted Chris Hoy :thumbsup2

Worthy winner was Chris, Lewis has plenty more years to get the main prize yet :goodvibes

Well done, Chris! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: I'm a huge cycling fan so definitely a worthy winner... :thumbsup2

Very disappointed with the outcome of this, I'm sure it will lift the popularity of cycling, goodness knows, it needs it! Like the guy said, the original event he was training for in China 08 was cancelled due to not enough entrants. I was pleased to the the GB cycling team win, very worthy team winners:thumbsup2
What does Joe Calzaghe have to do to win? :confused3 I'm a big fan of Joe and the man is unbeaten over fifteen years, the man is a boxing legend.
I know Lewis only came second but he has many years ahead of him to win it, for Joe not to be recognised was awful.

Actually cycling gets a lot of funding in this country, one of the highest.

Joe Calzaghe won last year.

I think Ben Ainslie should have won myself, 4 Olympics, 4 medals including 3 Golds.

Joe Calzaghe won last year.

Does that mean he wasn't allowed to win again? Not more BBC phone voting controversy:lmao: :lmao: I believe Nigel Mansell and Damon HIll won it twice.
Yes, Joe did win it last year. He won just over 28% of the public vote last year.
I agree it was a fantastic year for Team GB in China and all successful sports men and women are worthy winners, their dedication and commitment is far beyond what mine could ever be.
In 2008 Joe won and retained the light heavyweight title, at this stage in his career and at his age is a massive achivement, especially going to the USA on both counts to do it.
I'm sure somebody else did deserve to win, I just think Boxing often gets overlooked by the BBC in particular, and it took a long time for Joe to be recognised.

They may get the a fair amount of funding for the Olympics. I was talking in general. There are only a handful of cycling teams due to lack of funding & sponsorship. Compare the money & coverage of football, motorsports and many more to cycling. Many of the Olympic cyclists such as Bradley Wiggins, Nicole Cook, Geraint Thomas all cycle for foreign teams due to lack of money being available to British teams.
