Sponsorship of Epcot's Test Track stuck in neutral

How does Nemo fit in Future World? I love all the Pixar movies, but just don't think they belong in Epcot. I hope Test Track does not change to Cars.

Yeah, I totally agree. I still think that the Living Seas is probably the most out of place especially now that it has Nemo. They would be better off making an Australian pavillion for World Showcase and moving Nemo and Friends there. Any suggestions for what else we could put in Future World instead of Nemo?

I think they should have a huge undersea exploration area/laboratory...when guests enter, they would get to watch a history of the seas, followed by an invitation to go on these elevators to the bottom of the ocean so with water...hmm, Hydrolators! Then you are in a research facility...maybe call it, hmm, Seabase Alpha, yeah, that would be cool. And you could take these rides along the sea...like a cab, umm, SeaCabs, yeah

I wonder just how much "goodwill" Test Track has actually gotten for Goverment--oops I mean General--Motors??
Every time we ride Test Track we--and almost everyone else--waste no time in that post-ride showroom.
So has anyone ever ridden Test Track and come out just absolutely DYING to own a new GM car??

I have to admit, as a citizen and now partial owner of GM, I personnally would be VERY angry if my $$$$ was spent on a ride in a theme park.

My feelings.....I can come up with about 10,000 better uses for that $$$ off the top of my head.

If it was such a FABULOUS use of advertising dollars.....they would have said yes already!

I never really liked GM they have been a dysfunctional company since the late 80's. If it wasn't for there truck devision I don't think they would have made it this far. They never quite understood that are car should have nice aesthetics inside as well as out. Almost every GM I have sat in is a sea of Plastic.

I believe Toyota would be chomping at the bit to replace GM so the chances of the pavilion closing is slim. My guess is Disney would like to keep a domestic auto company as the sponsor and since GM fronted the originally bill they are tied to them for better or worse. With all the bad press coming out of GM I am sure they don't want to be replaced by a foreign auto or even worse Ford.

I think they picked Nemo because it's Disney based and goes with the theme of the fish that was already there. And plus Epcot isn't geared for small children. Now they have an attraction for smaller kids to relate to...assuming they know who Nemo is. I sure know who Nemo is. It's ran at least once daily in my house. :rotfl:

Cars is a big movie in our house too. I hope Carsland makes it to WDW....in Hollywood Studios. Which is really where Nemo belongs too but that's just my opinion. :upsidedow

I would definitely be okay with Cars at DHS. That would rock. After seeing 'Up' last night, would LOVE to see an attraction for that one as well. And where are the Incredibles?????
