Sponsoring of new annual passes after 10/11/06

DH & DD will be in Disneyland Paris from 6th - 9th Nov. Our annual passes expire on 20/11/06, so we were thinking of renewing them while he is there. The main reason for this is that we have family going in Feb 2007 and we could sponsor them so they get the benefit of the 10% reduction and then one of us could benefit from the free year added when we renew next year.

I have seen on the parrainage web page that you can only benefit from the free months added and the new passport holder from the 10% reduction until the 10/11/06. Does this mean that they are doing away with this perk altogether? or have I misread - my french is not brilliant! We probably won't be back in Disneyland until July, so if this is the case, maybe it would be better to wait until then to renew because we wouldn't be able to sponsor anyone. Or is there any incentive currently to renew eg months added?

Any information on what happens after 10/11/06 of any other thoughts would be appreciated. I am not sure what to do.

Hi our Dream passes expire on 12th November and we received a renewal letter offering us 18 months for the price of 12 months and a 20 euro discount. We got this letter a few weeks ago so its worth enquiring when you are there.

I hadn't heard anything about this. I'm due to go in 2 weeks and have my sponsorship form ready (thanks 6.2.6!) Will I not get the 10% discount?!?

Yes, you wil get your 10% discount. As I understand, this form is limited for sponsors with APs bought before 10 november.

They should post their parrainage form in, at least, french & english.

Hope someone can confirm this in person since I thought it meant that unless the sponsor form transaction was completed before 10th November then the discount and the credit to the original sponsor was not valid.
This is the terms they bring out each January at the start of the year.

We were planning to sponsor some friends who are going in two weeks. We bought our passes in October. Will that be okay? or does this mean they do not allow you to sponsor between 10NOV - January when the new conditions start.

Has anyone ever recived an offer with a Fantasy Passport, mine is due for renewal on the 25th November but with no offer it can wait till I next go after this trip.

It does seem a bit hit and miss. Our passes expired in August but we never received any offers in the post, however other posters have.

I know what you mean.We got our offer with our magazine but the friends we were with, who also bought their passes at the same time didnt get an offer letter or even a magazine.

It took me several emails to even get a magazine! I finally got one with a very apologetic letter but I never received any more!

I am hoping to have better luck next time!

To update about my question re sponsoring of annual passports :

I talked to DH today who is currently in DLP with DD. He renewed my annual passport for the free year as I had a full parrainage form. It was no problem that I was not there in person. ( I am currently 37 weeks pregnant so couldn't go and got left home alone).

He got 18 months for his and DD's passports for the price of 12. The CM said that he would be able to sponsor our family members when they go in Feb & that the thing about the 10th Nov was a mistake???. Or maybe he didn't know anything about it. DH had a printout of the parrainage web page stating this to show them.

They are having such a great time - no crowds and no queues - I just wish I was there too!

That's good to know I will pass my forms on to my friend without so much worry now. Still keeping my fingers crossed though The annual passport office seems a bit of a hit/miss affair. My friend got her Envie + magazine and I wasn't even offered one and we went on the same day.
