I can't remember EXACTLY but it was something like, "I wish you would've believed."
That's what I wondered.....and how can you confess and get deported back to your home country in 24 hours? Seemed odd to me that he was in that situation and didn't even react to Ben. He's now "taken" the role of Kate from the 815 flight....being in handcuffs with some sort of marshall.
ON another note....Why didn't Lapidus just turn the plane around? It's not like he has any reason to go back or would even want to......you would have thought instead of "we're not going to Guam are we" it would have been "I'm turning the plane around to head back to LA."
I am wondering what else they are imitating and we don't know about it yet.
Wasn't Aaron one of the oceanic 6? I wonder if there is any possibility of Kate being pregnant and that is taking the place of not having Aaron on the plane.
Sayid is playing the role of how Kate was on the original 815 flight and Hurley has a guitar because Charlie had guitar... remember they have to immitate the first flight as much as possible? I am wondering what else they are imitating and we don't know about it yet.
Lapidus didnt like the same for one, lol and maybe he didn't go back to the island at all. What I thought, was that they didn't crash, the light just took them to that same place in a different time. And since a different time would mean they werent in the plane, they fell through the air.
OOOO and has anyone thought about why Ben is all bloody? (didn't read all the previous posts) Remember when he said he had to take care of a promise for an old friend? I think he was talking about that promise he made to Whitmore about his daughter. I think Ben did something to Penny not only because he thinks Whitmore hurt his daughter, but also to get Desmond back to the island.
So they are trying to recreate the original crash as much as possible so:
Sayid is Kate with the Marshall
Hugo is Charlie
Who is everyone else? I might have to go back and watch the first episode again.
That was a great episode.
I think Ben's line "my mother taught me" has significance since she died in childbirth.
.
DH pointed out that, one of the Losties (Locke?) actually had the exact same line to Jack about his dad before they got on the plane the first time. I think Jack even remembered due to the way he did a double take with the guy.
One of my favorite parts was Jack talking about Christian's white tennis shoes. This goes back to the mysterious man in the shack in the rocking chair who had white tennis shoes and a suit on. I thought it was a nice touch.

I didn't think there was much significance to it. I just thought that is Ben's type of humor. But, if you remember, Ben did see his dead mom on the island a couple times before. When he was a child. So, maybe they are referencing that.Maybe I'm making to much of this. Did you guys catch when Jack and Ben were on the plane talking and Ben is reading and Jack asks him how do you do it. Ben replies his mom taught him. Was that some sort of clue that maybe she is still alive?? I know it was said by Ben in a joking matter but it struck as me as funny thing to say about your dead mom
I know I have seen that guy before. But, cannot place him.Not sure if this is true....but my DH says that he is the first guy that Sayid beat up/tortured when he was in the Iraq National Guard.
Acutally, the white tennis shoe reference goes all the way back to the first scene in the pilot in season 1. A white tennis shoe is seen dangling from a tree when Jack goes running through the forest to find the plane crash on the beach. Then, a couple episodes later, when Christian Shephard's character started appearing to Jack on the island, he was always seen wearing white tennis shoes. One of my favorite parts was Jack talking about Christian's white tennis shoes. Hey, good catch. I forgot that she died at childbirth....so how could she teach him to read??![]()
I think Aaron was sent to Korea to stay with Sun's mom and daughter.
Who would he have gone with? You don't put a three year old on a plane by himself to a foreign country to live with strangers.
I am betting on Claire's mom. She was still in town, Kate knew where she was staying, and she would of gobbled him up as soon as Kate explained he was Claire's son.
Who was the guy in the airport who said to Jack something like "I'm sorry for your loss" when he was checking in with Locke?
I know I recognize the guy, but I can't remember???![]()
According to IMDB.com, the man has not been on Lost before.
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0542356/
It just shows him in last's nights episode.
That guy was Gael García Bernal. He was in a lot of movies including Babel and Motorcycle Diaries. I know I have seen him in more stuff but when looking on IMDB it seems he has made mostly Spanish speaking movies. I'm 99% sure that was who it was...wonder if he is going to be on Lost for a while?
Actually he is Said Taghmaoui who played in Traitor with Don Cheadle. This site shows the pics of him on the plane. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0846548/. Man I was really wrecking my brain all day then it just clicked.![]()

He was also in "Vantage Point" (starring our favorite Lostie, Matthew Fox). Maybe that is where I recognize him from.

Yes he sure was....ding, ding, ding.![]()
I rewatched the episode last night said:Ulysses[/I], which is based on the Odyssey about a sailor who is lost and is trying to get back to his love, Penelope.
I think it was Ana Lucia who originally said that to Jack.
