Don't read if you don't want to know what happens in Lost Season Five from beginning to end!

Jack and Ben are right where we left them last Spring, in the funeral parlour with Locke, and this season's action will start there.

Several important questions will be answered right off the bat, including why the Oceanic 6 must return to the Island, exactly what happened when Ben moved the Island and what Sun meant when she said that she and Widmore had common interests.

Remember The Arrow Station, where the tail section survivors hid from the Others back in year 3? We will revisit it and be informed of its very interesting purpose pretty early on in the premiere.

At least three people will be killed in the first act.

Sayid and Ben seem to be on especially bad terms.

Several characters who we've watched die will make return appearances.

Sawyer is shirtless for all 42 plus minutes of the first episode.

Daniel Faraday and his life's work play a pivotal role in the premiere.

There are two separate times. Shortly after the Oceanic 6 leave the island and three years in the future when Ben meets Jack and Jeremy Bentham's wake and tells them they have to go back.
Alpert is who tells Locke that they have to come back to the island
We will learn what happens to the on-island Losties and the folks on the boat with Faraday
The island's location is not the only thing that has changed. The beach camp and the Swan Hatch appear and reappear in "various states" (I assume it does NOT mean literally in different states in the US ;) )
Locke is on his own not with the other Losties.
The Kate/Aaron sneak peek is described, but confirm the blood test is to prove if she is Aaron's mom.
The dead get more air time including Ana-Lucia (AL is listed for Episode 5x02)
The Virgin Mary Statues will reappear (I assume via the drug plane crashing again)
Hurley and Sayid are working together and Hurley has some great one-liners including: when Sayid turns down Hurley's offers of some french fries. "You know, maybe if you ate more comfort food, you wouldn't have to go around killing people."
Faraday knows more than he reveals and seems to know who to fix things on the island. He will go against the "rules" of time travel to try changing the past.

The season begins (again) with an awakening and a record-player. And twitchy scientist Daniel Faraday will very soon throw a little meta-illumination on why producers like to begin season openers with that device.

This line is uttered in the first season-five teaser: “We went through six carbon drill-bits and the last one just fried.”

The flashbacks and flashforwards are gone and, I’m guessing (and hoping), gone for good. The show now moves freely between players, back and forward in time, no longer tied to one particular character for the length of an episode.

The first hour is a corker, aggressively advancing the story in all kinds of directions.

By far the most intriguing developments in the first two hours occur on the island. The second hour feels like a bit of a time-killer, focused on creating an obstacle that will keep The Oceanic Six from getting back to the island too soon.

The most interesting part of the second hour may be something Ben says as he directs Jack to pack his suitcase.

Faces from past episodes turn up at unexpected moments. (Hopefully the names of those playing these characters will be left out of the opening titles to preserve the surprises.)

Characters we don’t see in the first two hours: Jacob, Christian, Charlie, Claire, Boone, Shannon, Michael, Walt and Smokezilla.

Thank you for the spoilers. :goodvibes :thumbsup2

We need a official Season 5 spoiler discussion thread. Is this one it?

I can't wait! :cool1:

And the Sawyer info was the most important part :woohoo: :cloud9: :rotfl:

Lost comes back on my birthday, and I can't wait! It's going to be the best birthday present ever!

Thank you so much!! We're just about finished watching Season 4 on DVD and I'm getting so excited!!!!

I can't wait!

Who else doesn't think Jin is dead?

Are they going to overload us with info in the first hour? Is my brain going to pop out of my head?

My husband doesn't want to know the spoilers so I'm sitting here wanting someone to discuss stuff with SO bad. UGH!

I can't wait to see what Daniel will be doing. I really like his character. The pilot is another one I enjoy.

What do you think of Charlotte? I don't like her and certainly do not trust her.

We are getting ready to re-watch season 4 right now. Yay!

I don't think Jin is dead either. I also hope he isn't dead.

My DH doesn't even watch so I have no one to talk to about it. :(

I enjoy Daniel too and I don't trust Charlotte at all.

I LOVE this show!

Jin is NOT dead.

I don't like Charlotte either.

I LOVE this show too. My family? eh?

I have two people at work who love it too, but the fam really doesn't like it :confused3 :confused3 :scared: :snooty:

Has anyone looked at all the paperwork in the Season 4 box? If not, look and see what you find. Mine was the last in the little section of papers. I don't want to spoil it if you haven't found yours yet.

We should make it it. There will be full spoilers in here not speculation. Full episode synopsis will be posted when they have been viewed. I will have a copy of the screener in my hot little hands tomorrow night.

The thread is pretty well marked, if you are in this thread, you are going to see spoilers. I hope no one complains that they saw a spoiler.

What are you refering to? The flight instructions? I didn't have any other papers other than that, a flyer on Blue DVDs and other ABC DVD sets.

I didn't see anything too exciting in there as it related to season 5 spoilers although it was kinda funny.

I (and my family) don't think Jin is dead. We finally finished watching Season 4 on DVD last night, and when the freighter exploded, Jin was running AWAY from the explosion - we think it's quite possible that he was thrown off and away from the freighter. Maybe he hangs onto a piece of wreckage and somehow makes it back to the island.

And I completely agree with you about Charlotte - I don't like her or trust her. She's just way too sneaky. In the last episode of Season 4, Charlotte was getting ready to go on the speedboat to the freighter - Miles made a comment that he didn't think she would want to leave the island since it took her so long "to get back there", as if she'd been there before. And I don't know if it was Charlotte or Miles who said something about Charlotte still searching for "where she was born". Is it possible Charlotte was born on the island, maybe the last person born there before **whatever** happened that made all the pregnant women and their babies die??

And of the rest of the freighter folks, I really like Daniel and Frank the pilot. I wasn't too sure about Miles at first, but I'm starting to like him. Charlotte....NO WAY!

I found the airplane emergency card thingy. Is that what you're talking about?:confused3
