Splitting up into two tables?

We have a group of 3 adults and 2 children. When making our initial ADRs, they mentioned availability of a 3 person table and a 2 person table. We turned it down. Later I read that they will try to accomodate you into one table or at least tables close together.

How true is that....in your experience?

Thanks again!

We had 11 people and was told the same thing with all our ADR's. At Crystal Palace we had 3 tables all together, kind of in a line along the wall. At Trailsend, we had 2 tables right next to each other. I had the same thoughts as you, our tables would be on opposite sides of the resturants, but in our case theat was not the case. We were always put together. I think with the number of adults vs children in your group you will not have a problem being put together.

For our trip last October we were split into two and sometimes three tables because there was 14 of us. We were always right next to each other and as close as some of the tables are we may as well have been at the same table!

We're a party of 7 and most of our ADR's had us separated in the system. When we arrived we were always seated together.

The only time our party was split at the restaurant was at Rose and Crown. In that case we were placed at two tables that were back to back. They both were right on the railing with an awesome view of Illuminations so we were very happy.

We were a group of 9. Only once were we split up and the tables were still side by side.

We are a family of 5.

At Tusker House Breakfast and 1900 PF we were told we would have 1 table for 3 and 1 table for 2. I was stressing because I wanted to sit with my kids but a CM told me they always seat you at the first available table for your party size. . Both times were were seated at a table for 6.

I'm kind of disappointed by these responses ;) ....we have a split reservation at Le Cellier in December and I was hoping to pass the kids off to my Mom and sister so that DW and I could have a nice, relaxing dinner together. So instead of  , it looks like another :grouphug: meal.

So, did they offer the 2 tables option when you called to make the ADR? Or did you make the ADRs for the number in your party and were just given 2 tables?

We will have 8 in our party on our next trip and I don't mind making the ressies for 2 tables of 4 but I didn't know if they would do that or not.

I'm so glad you posted this because we have 2 seperate reservations at Ohana's and I was going to cancel because I didn't want to take a chance. It's 2 adults and 3kids.

When I called to make the Resv. the CM asked me if I wanted to try two seperate tables and said that they would probably accomadate us. This was after trying a few different days though, so who knows. I guess to be afraid to ask. :)

When we made one of our ADRs they asked if we wanted to be split up (3 adults and 2 kids) because that's all they had available at that particular time. I wasn't sure how that would go because I knew I'd probably be the one who ended up getting to sit with both kids while my mom and DH ended up at a table together. So we took a little earlier ADR so we could get a table for all of us. They told us that the tables would be close together. I don't know if it would have worked out that we would all have been sitting together or not. I could only think that we'd be on opposite sides of the restaurant (and at a buffet) which would mean I would have to take both kids up with me to get anyone food. I could only imagine what a nightmare that would be.
