The only place I have heard of that charges a split fee in the parks is Blue Bayou.

Other than that, any counter service obviously is super easy to split. I like to share the french dip or stew in a breadbowl at the French Market, the chicken fusilli at Pizza Port and the steak nachos at Whitewater Snacks.

I've actually shared a kids' meal (chicken strips or grilled cheese) at WWS with my dd who is a very light eater. I just supplemented with a side salad. We were able to share the refillable kids' drink and I filled my water bottle at the soda station with cold filtered water. That meal cost us $8.

We share meals all over DL/DCA. Dangermouse is right about Blue Bayou charging a splitting fee. I believe Cafe Orleans does as well.

The counter service locations however are sharing heaven! We love to share the fried chicken platter at the Plaza. It has something like three pieces of chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans and a biscuit. We get a separate side salad or two and literally share that meal two or even three ways. We also share at the French Market, they have several meals that are pretty large. The nice thing about those two places (Plaza and French Market) is that you can see them plate the food up for you and can tell right off the bat how big the portions are. The counter service locations at Disneyland and DCA are such a cut above normal theme park food in choice and portions. Sharing is a great way to save money, calories and save some room for Mickey Bars!

We also like to share a couple of breakfasts at Riverbelle Terrace.

The easiest way to get there is the private GCH entrance in DCA. It's just across from the GRR attraction. You can ask a CM to point you in the right direction, but basically you walk down a long hall and then turn left toward the Spa/Pool area and you'll run right into WWS.

I think Cafe Orleans also charges a split plate fee. Around $4 or $5 dollars.

I like the split plate fee, b/c unless the server is a complete dolt, they know it means that there's work to do...instead of just a plate and two forks, each person gets half a serving on their own pretty plate, and each person gets a salad or sides or whatever comes with the meal. There's a value to the fee. Unless, of course, the server is a dolt.


We've only eaten breakfast at Cafe Orleans and were eating off each others plates and sharing things, but weren't charged anything extra. Of course, our coffee consumption was freaking out the server (I had 2 partial refills, where they fill while there's still coffee in the cup, GRR, and she seemed to think that was excessive) so maybe that messed her up.


We shared at Rancho del Zocalo and were glad we did! Had their fajita-veggie soft tacos monterrey and it was enormous! On my solo trip I just had a kid's bean/cheese burrito meal there b/c I was so afraid of that huge platter.

Pizza Port. They give LARGE portions of pasta. If we aren't super hungry...we'll split an order of pasta and each get a small side salad.
