Splitsville Part 2:

We wanted a lighter, earlier dinner so we could spend more time at the SSR resort pool. I had reservations for Wine Bar George for 6:15 and went through their menu again. I know it's generally tapas style, but we discussed how great our servers were at Splitsville and knew one of them would be on shift when we planned on going back. So, and I don't believe I'm typing this, I cancelled WBG and went to Splitsville. Same 2nd floor view and our server from the night before came over after he clocked in. He sat with us, discussed things (including investing tips) and really took a liking to his candidness. Now to the food.....

The salmon was staring me down, but who gets salmon at a bowling alley? Not me! So I opted for the Green Goddess Salad ($20). Fresh, and I do mean fresh, breaded chicken pieces overtop of the salad. This had bacon, avocado, cucumbers, street corn, sliced cherry tomatoes and deviled eggs with paprika sprinkled on top. The whole salad had a sweet spicy drizzle that complemented the chicken just right. Portion size was enourmous and truly and honestly, it was all fresh. Nothing in the salad felt pre-packaged or prepared ahead of time.

This is another must have that could have been served at a higher end restaurant on property and not a bowling alley. Presentation was excellent. The chefs at Splitsville are the Michelin Star variety of bowling alleys.

We went to the Splitsville in Downtown Disneyland a few months ago. We reserved two lanes and ate while our family of 7 bowled. Everything we ate was very good with the exception of the pizza, that was average. I had the fish and chips and I would put them against any of the best fish and chips around, excellent. Everyone enjoyed what they had to eat. We had a blast and are looking forward to doing it again next time we go to Disney. We are going to WDW in October, didn’t even think of going to Splitsville there.
