We have an 11:15 lunch ADR at Splitsville during a Fall Break week in Oct. How much time should we allot to eat and then bowl? I have not reserved a lane and I have read mixed reviews - some say book in advance --if so, how far in advance? Others say reserve upon arrival. Suggestions? Tips?

You pay for bowling by the hour so you bowl as much as you can for that hour, so I would guess around 2 hours if you are going to bowl after. FYI, if you bowl before 12:30 it is quite a bit cheaper. The bowling is very expensive now, it use to be much less so the earlier time gets you a better rate. We have not bowled the last two times because of the cost, we have just had appetizers. The food is very good.

Do you by chance know the rates? We have an 11:15 ADR.

I believe before 12:30 it is 12.00 an hour but after that time I believe it jumps up to 24.00, plus the shoes. We have bowled twice and had appetizer while we bowled. The last two times we were there we just ate because I think it was going to be over 40.00 for just two of us to bowl for an hour. If you are staying on site you get the discount vouchers and Splitsville is in there but I believe it has restrictions such as the time you can go.

So is the dining room listed on the adr separate from the lane area? Sorry for so many questions, but this will be our first visit. Just trying to figure out if you dine near your reserved lane or if you eat then bowl afterward.

Also we have never needed a ADR, we have been 4 times and there is always plenty of tables/lanes open. It is a fun place you will enjoy.

We love Splitsville and usually try to go at least once every trip. Here is a link to the DS location.

Prices are: Mon-Fri 10:30am to 4pm $15 per person; 4pm to close and all day Sat & Sun is $20 per person. Early bird is before 12:30pm and it is $12 per person but they do have blackout dates. You can not reserve a lane unless you book priority bowling and that is more expensive unless you have 8 or more people. We always eat and bowl at the same time but we have never had an ADR so that might change things. Last time we showed up and it was an hour wait for a lane so we sat in the dining area to eat first and put our name in for a lane. We were almost done eating when the lane came available - our server offered to move our stuff to our lane.

Here's the info I received when I emailed them a few days ago:

WALK-IN RATES:

(Only valid on a first come first served basis.) Bowling time allotted
is based upon number in bowling party, 5 people receive an hour and 30
minutes on the lane.

SATURDAY-SUNDAY (Pricing includes shoe rental.)
OPEN-CLOSE: $20 per person

EARLY BIRD BOWLING (Walk-in only):

EVERY DAY Open-12:30PM:
$12 for Adults/$8 for 9 & Under (Pricing includes shoe rental)
**Excludes all holidays and certain blackout dates**

PRIORITY BOWLING:
*Priority bowling must be set up a minimum of 24 hours in advance.

Additional $10 per person, based on walk in rates and times shown above.
(Please note: Payment can be split a maximum of 2 ways.)

PRIORITY BOWLING is your pass to the FAST LANE and allows your group
to receive the next available lane upon check in. Your wait time will
vary based on volume (avg. 0 -10 minute wait).
We can fit up to 8 bowlers per lane, maximum of 1 lane per group. The
bowling time allotted reflects the number of bowlers in the party. For
groups of 9 or more, please ask about our multiple lane reservation option.

Our lanes are full service and set up with luxury booth seating and a
table for you to dine and bowl right at the lanes! You have a server
taking care of you the entire time and our full food and beverage menu is available.

I made an ADR last year through MDE found out on the day of the reservation that those are for dining only. I didn't realize that ADRs through MDE did not include dining and bowling. Due to that I canceled the reservation. I guess just make sure you know what you're reserving ahead of time.

Went there last Saturday - place was slammed. We waited about 30 minutes - had a few drinks at the bar. Bowling time came, kids bowled their hour, we ordered food and had sushi while they noshed on nachos, I think? We were there about 2 hours, I believe. It was fantastic! Must do each trip (the The Alberto "sushi" was amazing..)

Okay, this answers my questions. So if we want to eat and bowl we should just walk up, right?

You think this is true even for Fall Break? We plan on going early...around 11 but would prefer to eat and bowl not just dine, so might cancel the ADR. Sounds like it isn't needed.

If you are there early by 11:00 you should not need a reservation for a lane or dining. We were just there 4/9/16 spring break time and we were seated right away in the afternoon and there was bowling available at that time as well so I think you will be fine.

Thank you so much for your insight. I have cancelled my ADR. I think we will walk up early and take a chance. Sounds like it will work out!

I really think you will, it also is fun to arrive at DS at around 10:00 when it opens it is so nice to look at things without a million others. We are also heading back to WDW in the fall, we are going in October. Have a fun trip.

You should be fine to walk-up if you are going this early in the day. The only time we had to wait for a lane was when we went at nighttime or later in the day.

On our non-park day, we go there around 11:00, bowl and have lunch right at our lane. Great food, great place, fun!
