We have an upcoming vacation in March, this is a three way split stay. In the past we would have had three fastpass windows. Last night the window opened for what we thought should be the first part, but lo and behold all 9 days were open. All three reservations were linked. This of course was amazing news! When did this change? We just went last Feb and it wasn't this way.

All reservations at WDW resorts?
That will allow booking the entire trip at once.

That is interesting- we have a split stay in July and I made dining reservations this week. Had to wait until the 2nd part opened to make those reservations. It would be nice to be able to do the FP at one time!

We did too! And it was really nice to make the FP all at once. Staying up til midnight 3x in one week is not our cup of tea. This was a dvc reservation so it would be interesting to know if it is the same for cash.

That's great news - hope it holds for all going forward. My past two trips as a DVC member (most recent in Oct) were split stays and it was really frustrating to have to wait and go online twice!

Onsite split stays don't open the Dining window for all days.

Onsite stay > onsite stay has kept the FP booking window open for months now.

Our entire FP+ window opened all at once in January of last year for our split stay trip last March.

For DVC members- We are doing a DVC split stay in March and I was able to make all of our FP reservations at 60 days out from the first reservation! Seems to be the same for DVC and cash.

That's good to know! Just this past week I've asked three DVC reps about split stays and the ability to make all FP reservations at the originating 60 day mark. All three told me I would have to wait for my second check in 60 day mark to make my other FP reservations.

Interesting! Might this be an unadvertised benefit? Perhaps a glitch? I know there have been concerns about split stays linked for fastpass+ but many were worried about that happening due to the dining plan. But it seems that these two functions are not linked since dining reservations can only be made for one split at a time.

Anyone know about the cash situation? Just curious!

We have a split stay in March, one is DVC rental, other was booked through Orbitz. At the 60 day window we were able to book FP+ for the whole period. Previously I called Disney web support and the person seemed very knowlegable, told me that he didn't know why but sometimes it works for the whole period, sometimes the FP+ window is split. From the feedback here it seems to be usually working for the whole period.

Wife and I logged into our accounts and were able to book 100% of our FP+ selections. Makes me wonder if it's really as hard to get FP+ choices as some indicate. Only 1 item sold out, which we didn't even know about beforehand, was the Disney Short Movie event. This was for early spring break too.

The ongoing issue for the split stay continues to be the inability to book dining reservations online for the whole stay at 180 days out, at least for DVC reservations (I had wait for the phones lines to open for the second half of our stay)

I totally agree! It would make our lives easier to make all ADRs at once, but there is a segment of the population (don't know exactly how big) that would be very unhappy. I speak of those that like doing the DDP for only part of the vacation.

As far as LD500's point we did have the reservations linked so maybe that's it?

Exact same happened with me. I logged on this morning (60 days out from my first half of the split stay) and was pleasantly surprised to be able to book the entire stay. When I split the stay a couple of months ago (when a couple of days at the Polynesian Villas opened up!), I asked the DVC agent and was told that I'd have separate windows for booking FP+.

Oh I do hope this stays the case! We've got a split stay coming up in August, one half on cash and the other on DVC points.

As long as all onsite reservations are linked to your MDE account, the FP booking window remains open.

It doesn't matter how you've paid or booked the reservation. It's the reservation number and linked tickets that allow the FP booking window to open and then remain open until the final check-out date.
