Split Stay???

Okay, so we are doing a split stay, checking out of BLT (with no DP) and into SSR where we will have the DXDP.

We are going to spend the morning in MK, where we have a TS at LTT. From MK, we will go to AK where we have fast passes. After that, around 2ish, we will check in to SSR.

How soon are we able to use our SSR DxDP credits?

Can we use them for lunch at LTT and snacks at AK or will we have to wait until we physically check-in to SSR?

Also, we WILL be doing online check-in, if that helps!

Here is what happened to me in October, when I moved from BLT (no DP) to SSR (DlxDP). I went to 1900 PF for breakfast on checkout day and had to pay for my meal. Then when I checked in at SSR they credited me. So you would think all would be will by dinner time at Grand Floridian Cafe, but nope! Server could see by scanning my band when I sat down that I had the credits available, but when he tried to put it through after the meal he was unable to. After sitting in the restaurant half an hour past closing and watching it be reset for breakfast, I told him I would pay and get reimbursed at SSR. I feel so bad for them when it is this technical kind of stuff, because they probably worry it will affect their tip.

So my suggestion is make sure you stop at the desk when leaving BLT and ask them to close out your account. Explain your reason for wanting that and see if they can confirm you will be OK at that point. But don't sweat it if something happens and you have to pay at LTT. They can remove the charge when you get to SSR. Save your receipts!

Just is a bummer that DVC room only reservations don't see meal credits in the app. I was always asking them to confirm what I had available when I sat down at the table

I am interested in this too, as I will be in the same boat. Staying a couple nights at POR, no DP, then moving to Poly DVC with DxDP. Our first meal will be California Grill brunch.

Since DVC DP credits don't show in the ap, will they show on the receipt print out?

We did one night at All Star Movies without DDP before moving to CSR with the DDP in December. I made sure I went to the front desk to check out, because I had heard of others not being able to use credits right away, and let them know I wanted to make sure my credits would work on my new reservation. She assured me I was all set, and sure enough I was able to use snack credits at DHS at noon that day (didn't try anything earlier).
