I'm planning my first split stay, 5 nights at Poly and 5 nights at Boardwalk.

Can I make all dining reservations at the 180 mark of the first stay or do I need to make the reservations for the first 5 days and then 5 days later make the others? Same for FP+, can I do it all at once?

Will we need to have 2 separate sets of magic bands or will the same ones work for the entire trip?

Dining- you will have to make them separate- 180 days from your first stay and 180 days from your 2nd stay.
FP+ can all be made at 60 days from your first stay as long as you have tickets linked to your account.
MB- You will get 2 sets (if you don't decline) and both will work but you only need 1.

For the dining reservations, you have to wait for the 180 day mark for each reservation. For FP+, you can do it all at once. Those are tied to your ticket, not your room.

You will receive 2 sets, unless you decline the other set, but they are supposed to work interchangeably. I have heard of some people running into issues with the magic bands. I have my first split stay coming up in 2 weeks so I'm hoping it works out ok.

That's only if your reservation extends out that long. From experience, I was only able to make reservations at 180 days from each reservation.

Same here. We were only able to make 180+10 from each reservation even though they were consecutive and all through Disney.

Just needed to say that we have this exact same split stay coming up this summer! Great minds!

We did something similar in December- 6 nights at OKW followed by 5 nights at AKL. As stated above, you can make dining reservations at 180 days plus length of stay for each reservation.
FP+ can be made at 60 days from check-in at the first resort as long as you have enough park ticket days linked to you account.
Both sets of magic bands worked interchangeably, except for charging to the room once we checked in at the second resort. It required a visit to the front desk to get that corrected.
