question.. we're staying at art of animation for 5 days, then switching to the swan...how do I do that without losing a day in the parks? check out is at 11 am and check in isn't until 3pm...Is there anywhere at either hotel that I can stash our luggage?

Either resort will store your luggage for the day. If it were me I would take a taxi (if no rental car) to the Swan, check in and store my luggage there. Then head off to the park. You can check in any time but they just won't have a room assignment for you.

I agree, if you do it early enough you can still get either epcot or dhs with rope drop and have the full day.
But reading your other post, I would just stay at the resort your at and tell them your close enough

bah ha ha.. I wish it were that simple.. I'd much rather stay at AOA than the swan.. but I've been told... lol (and its my in laws family.. so I can't really argue) our switch day is our hollywood studios day..so hopefully we can still make it there early enough in the morning!

You should be able to. Pack the night before, get up & grab a taxi early to The Swan & check in, leave luggage with Bell Service if your room isn't ready early ( sometimes it is) and either walk ir hop on the boat to DHS. Couldn't be easier.

Mears is the taxi service that operates in WDW, and we always request the taxi van, so we have enough room for our luggage. Cost same as a car. On your room phone either call bell service or you may have a button for Taxi. They come in minutes, so just phone when you're ready to go.
