Has anyone ever done a split stay? How was it? Was it a pain in the butt or not? How do you transport you're luggage? I'm thinking about trying the BC and Cr in December. Can't decide!!!! I don't want to be frustrated on vacation tho.:confused3

Disney does make it easy -- they will transport your luggage, but it does take the better part of a day for your luggage to get to the new resort, so you need to plan accordingly (pack swim togs in a bag to take w/you, etc).

You do need to make a reservation at each resort, and if you are on the ddp, your tickets will end up being more expensive as you will have to buy a package that includes at least 1 days tix at each resort. You are also "homeless" until you check-in/room available at the new resort. Not a big deal if you are planning to be in a park all day anyway. Happy planning, both resorts are beautiful at Christmas!

In January we spent 10 nights at OKW, 4 at the Poly and 7 at ASMo. No problems. We would pack, call concierge luggage, check our bill, and head off to the park. When we left the park, we would go to our resort. If it was an upscale resort, we had to let them know when we were at our room so they could deliver and get a tip, but at ASMo it's a different system and pay scale, so our luggage was waiting when we got to the room.

There is another good thread about this on split stays. A lot of people with good info. (FYI)
