Split stay with different dining plan types - any issues with magic bands?

With a split stay with deluxe dining then regular dining, will there be any issues with different types of dining credits on our magic bands on check-out/check-in day? We are going to save the last set of deluxe credits for dinner that day so plan to use counter service credits from the 2nd dining plan before the deluxe credits are all used. Will we be able to specify which credits should be used? And will the system automatically use up the about-to-expire snack credits before using the snack credits from the 2nd dining plan?

I think you're going to have a problem with your plan. Generally, you want to use up all the credits from one reservation before you check into the second room. That's not to say you can't make it work, but I don't think it will be seamless nor automatic.

You will have to specify to the cashier which account you want credits pulled from. Expect issues.

I am in the same situation...would it help if we had different magic bands for each stay?

It would help if you link them to separate accounts... like you're different people.

In October, I had leftover dining plan credits when I checked out of Resort #1 and checked into Resort #2. At Resort #2 check-in, the CM printed out a sheet listing the Resort #1 used credits/remaining credits. She said the Resort #1 credits would be used first before accessing the second set of credits (on check-out/check-in day). The only thing you couldn't do in that situation was combine a TS credit from Resort #1 plus a TS credit from Resort #2 to use for a 2-TS meal on that day.

If you wanted to double-check that dining credits on check-out/check-in day were taken from the correct account, stop by the front lobby on the following day. They'll give you a print-out of your used credits/remaining credits for Resort #2.

This is by far the best and most help split stay information in regards to a dining plan. I have seen anywhere to date!
