Split stay what Mod or Value should we do?

We will be doing some other things around the MCO area before we start our WDW vacation, this will be 4 nights starting Dec 1st, then we will be staying at CR for 8 nights. It will be DH, myself and our DS who will be 4, I am thinking of a MOD, maybe a Value, but I am clueless about what christmas activities and how the decorations look at the MOD's and Values. I thought about FW cabins, but I have a feeling that DH would not want to leave and move to the CR resort LOL. Ideas please, thanks so much

My vote for the mods would be either of the POR resorts. You can use the boat to DTD and pool hop between the two resorts.

Of course the new AOA resort looks awesome and it would be new.
