Am I doing something wrong???? I was looking at the cost comparision of doing a split stay at POP and WL and it is not any less expensive than staying at WL the whole time :confused3 :confused3

I put in for POP for 3 nights with 3 day hoppers and dinning and WL for 7 nights with 7 day hoppers and dinning.

Is that the wrong way to do it??? The prices came out the following way:

POP & WL = 3546.08
WL = 3542.06

I priced them all as standard rooms.... Do you usually not save money by doing a split stay or am I really going about it all wrong????

Please help

Thanks :earboy2:

you are paying double for your park hoppers and dinning on the day that you check out of pop and into Wl. You are paying each plan for that day.

I don't think you can do this easily without a Cm help.

you can just the room only for your Pop and then do everything when you arrive at WL..

First, you can figure out the cost of "room only" reservations for each place. Compare these costs, together and separately. Get your park hopper passes beforehand, maybe at your local Disney Store. Remember to photocopy all passes, front and back. In case they get lost they will be easier to replace if you have the photocopy.

the only way to get dining is with a package. and you need a separate package for each different hotel stay, which makes split stays a bit trickier and more expensive. dining is per night of your reservation, so you aren't doubling up in credits on the transfer day, you just have to make sure you have used up the first package's credits as they expire at midnight the day day you check out. you also have access to all of the 2nd reservation's credits as you have checked in as well. An added price increase is because you have to buy a minimim of a 1-day ticket per person per package. you'll need to play with prices to get the best price on this, the break comes after 3 or 4 days, so usually it's best to get all but one day on the first reservation, then just a 1-day on the 2nd reservation. you don't want to do the 1-day first, because then you can't get to your next ticket until you change hotels. a 10-day ticket is cheaper than a 9-day plus a 1-day, and that is probably cheaper than a 7-day and 3-day.

IMO it's much easier to not do a split stay if you are doing dining.

Here is what we are doing....

AKL 3 nights+10 Day Tix (no-expiration option) + Dining Plan

GF rest of stay + 1 day tix for each + Dining Plan

Extra cost or not, for us it was about staying at both places.
