Split stay/park question

We are doing a split stay during our next trip. The first three nights will be at OKW, and the last three are at BLT. We have four park days planned and one “off” day. Has anyone used a non park day to switch hotels, or is that a dumb idea? At first I thought it would be a great day to go to Epcot so we can take the monorail to BLT, but I’m second guessing myself. Any advice?

I suppose it depends upon whether you are content not to have the use of an hotel room during your non park day.

I was thinking of trying to be at both pools. It may not work out though.

Currently the monorail to Epcot is not running. No idea of when it will return.
