Split Stay on & off site or Bonnet Creek

For our upcoming trip we have a double split stay. We're staying off-site at Quality Suites LBV for the first 3 nights (used CC points, so no out of pocket money), then at a 1 BR at BWV for 3 nights w/ an AP discount for about $950, then 4 nights using our DVC points at VWL in a studio.

This morning on Ebay I saw a listing for a 2 BR at Bonnet Creek that would cover the dates we are staying at QSLBV and BWV. The price was $699. We'd still keep our DVC reservation for the end of our trip.

I'm having trouble deciding whether to jump on that and cancel the BWV ressie. I'd lose the CC points, but save about $250. We'll have a car, and we have APs so parking fees aren't an issue.

What would you do?

jmho, that's too much moving around for me. I'd pick one place, unpack and be done. All that packing/unpacking takes precious vacay time. ymmv.
I guess you have to use the DVC points or would you rent them? I don't know much about DVC so what happens to those unused points would be the thing that directs my choice. If it's easy to rent them or bank them, I'd stay at BC for the week.

The DVC portion of our trip - VWL wouldn't change either way. Bonnet Creek 2 BR would replace QSLBV and BWV.

The only thing keeping me from jumping on this is how nice it is to be able to walk into Epcot and DHS from the Boardwalk.

But the 2 BR, extra space, and not having to switch resorts would be so nice. And BC has got to be worlds better than Quality Suites.

Oh yes!!!:thumbsup2

The BW portion is so high. Is it worth it to be able to walk to 2 parks? Only you can answer that. I don't mind hopping in a car to drive to parks; it's easy unless you're going at high peak/holiday time.

I'd choose BC. Then again, I'm an off site girl that likes the space and privacy that a 2br offers. This is worth more to us than being onsite though we don't mind cramming in a hotel for short visits, like 4 nts or less. Jmho.
Really, it depends on what's important to you and your vacay priorities. ;)

When I'm stuck and have a hard time making a decision, I ask dh or make a list of pros/cons for both choices. Usually that works better than asking dh.

Once you stay at Bonnet Creek, your only regret will be not staying there earlier.

would also go with bonnet creek - it is definitely closer than quality suites - that say would hate to lose CC points (but that is just me)

that say WBC can't compare to DVC. It is just not as upscale as Disney. (at least mind was not - it even have the old time spa instead of the nicer and better whirlpool tub) the spa bubbles don't do a thing for my backache or feet ache - the regular whirlpool tub does.

plus the light switches are in strange places - the ones in the livingroom were hard to find. :rotfl: took me 3 days - they were over behind the kitchen???? very strange place.

they were not all in the same place close to the main door - that say the bedroom lights were in the right place - thank goodness.

the trash closet was in the livingroom/dinning area - not the kitchen - again to me strange.

Stay at BC, it will give you more room, the place is very nice & you will only be moving once instead of twice.

Thank you all for your replies. At first we just couldn't bring ourselves to switch from staying at the BW. But then the price for the week at BC was reduced to $599. Saving $350, having the extra space and not having to stay at Quality Suites was too much to pass up. We booked BC.
