Split stay magic band question

We are staying at Shades of Green then going on a cruise (not Disney) and then staying at beach club. I will buy tickets at my local MWR.

I think I get magic bands for staying at Beach Club. I assume if I link my tickets I can use the magic bands I get for my Beach Club portion of the trip while I'm staying at Shades (I know they don't work at the resort, I'm mainly interested in park admission and FP).

Is that correct?

Yes...If your customized magic bands arrive in time. Depending on when your Shades of Green stay is and how long your cruise is, it might be cutting it close for your magic bands to arrive before your trip begins. I usually have mine arrive 2 weeks before my trip. If you don't order magic bands, you will receive a grey magic band when you check-in to the Beach Club.
