We have a doc stay at Saratoga for a Sunday to Sunday. We are flying in Sunday and paying oop for 1 night at a Disney hotel. Walk me through the process to transfer our luggage. How much time for it take to check the bags? When they move them do they go to our room at Saratoga or to bell services.
thanks in advance.

You just have to take your luggage to bell services and at the old resort and they will transfer it to bell services at the new resort. Checking the bags is very quick, only a few minutes. It's a very easy process.

Not sure exactly what you are asking. Are you using Magical Express from airport to hotel or renting a car? IF using magical express, allow 3-4 hours after arriving at the hotel for your bags to be delivered to your room. Next morning, you go to bell services before leaving hotel and have them transfer all bags to new hotel. They will arrive afternoon probably closer to 4 but you never know really but you never know when your room will be ready either. You also can take a cab, uber or minivan over to your new hotel and drop them too.

IF you drive, then you can take them to your new hotel, hand off to bell services, park your car and go to the park or springs or wherever you plan to go to. When you get your room, call down to bell services to have them bring them to your room.

We have done both ways and have been happy however it works out but we don't fret about it much as we can park hop etc. until we know they will be there.

Will bell services bring them to the room or will I have to get them from them for the second hotel?

Bell Services will bring them to your new room once you are in the room. They won't automatically deliver them to your new room. So when you get to resort #2, you can go to Bell Services and grab your bags or call them from your room and ask them to bring them to you.

We have done this many times and just did it again last week. Transfers in our experience have been handled QUICKLY. We always call them to come to get our bags. Don’t call until you’re ready, they can be there in MINUTES, or you can schedule a pick-up time. Hand them off, tip them per bag at least, and that’s it. When you get to your new place, call bell services again and they’ll bring them to you pretty quickly. We’ve never waiting more than 5 minutes for a pick-up or drop off.

Any idea what time bell services closes?

Never? Luggage Assistance at the Value resorts provides minimal overnight service, but actual Bell Services is 24/7.

They’ll also bring your bags with groceries they may have had delivered for you too. 👍 Super slick. And if you have perishables or things that need refrigeration to go from resort to resort, just make sure the bag w that stuff has ONLY that stuff, and they’ll store it for you in the transfer.

We just did a four resort split stay. Save yourself the hassles and just take a Lyft to the next resort with luggage. 10-15 bucks tops. Then leave luggage at new resort and hop in pool or go to parks from there. Luggage transfers although convenient are more headaches.

FYI, a ride that cheap isn’t going to accommodate 4 people with more than a few bags. If you request a ride for 4 people or less, you could be picked up in a pretty small car as we were. We got my wheelchair in his trunk and that was it. Thankfully, we weren’t moving bags that morning.

We always have a lot of bags. Last week we had 10 bags to move. We’ve moved them ourselves and had Disney move them. I don’t know why we bothered to move them ourselves anymore. Well, yes I do, it’s cheaper. Having Disney do it was so easy. Worth the cost in tips by a mile.
