Split stay: is it worth it?

We really loved our first split (Beach Club, Grand Floridian), but later in the trip we moved again, and really disliked it. I think it was because later in the trip, we had visited all of the parks and were ready to hunker down and relax more at our room. It takes a while to get to that point, and moving became a chore. I’d move once and expect no regrets. A second move for us was too much.

And huge kudos to Disney Bell Services for even making this a reliable option. It’s still magical, easy, and as others have said, can really add memories to your trip.

I love split stays! I like to do half at a MK area resort and the other half at an EPCOT area resort. But if I were you I would try the OKW and AKL split to check it out. We get up and Uber over to the new resort and then check our bags at the new location. I don’t find it annoying or difficult, however if you are a rope drop person, you do lose that morning. I also don’t ever actually unpack my suitcase or buy actual groceries. i do think it’s fun to move resorts. It almost makes it feel like two trips.
