Split stay from Swan/Dolphin to MK resorts

I was going to rent DVC points for Beach Club or Boardwalk but they are sold out for my dates. Swan and Dolphin are available. After that we want to transfer to a MK resort. Will I have to transport my bags myself? I've stayed at Disney owned resorts during a split and love how my bags were magically transferred but have a feeling that's not the case if I go with Dolphin/Swan. My other option is AKL Kidani but I was really looking forward to staying within walking distance to EPCOT and HS.

No, they will transfer your bags.

I have had my bags transferred to and from the dolphin and wdw resorts many times, always had good service but don't expect your bags until at least check in time, maybe later.

ugh. so the kayak price for swan and dolphin ($288/night) was a lie. Turns out with fees and the resort fee it's more like $400+. Then we have to add costs for transport from MCO to the hotel. Kidani is actually looking like a much better deal so even though I really want to stay near EP and HS we may have to go w/ Kidani - it's $300/night renting points w/o extra fees.

It's amazing how fast those extra fees add up at Swan and Dolphin! Their initial prices always look so good...until you look at the fine print.

Have you tried looking on the Swan/Dolphin site or calling them directly? I always find better pricing with those resorts if I book direct. SPG members also get better pricing, so not a bad idea to join their loyalty club if you can get a discount. They typically have AAA discounts as well.
