I have a scenario in my head and wanted to run in by the disboards to see if there are any flaws in my plans or see if I am forgetting something. And these are with imaginary future discounts btw.
Here's the plan:
Split stay
3 days WL, 3 days AKL
A 3 day reservation at WL with a 6 day park ticket and do 3 days of free dining. Then do a 3 day at AKL with a room discount. Do I have it right?

Sure, not a problem. When you check into your second resort, just have guest services pull the last three park days off your old room key and give you a paper ticket. Those park tickets are good for fourteen days after first use, no matter where you stay.

Because of the way the bounceback dates fell, I currently have an AP room with DxDDP for the first night of my stay and then a room only bounceback deal for the next seven nights. Because credits are good until midnight of the check out day, I'll be able to use them for my meals throughout first day of my second stay. For the rest of the second stay, I'll be using the TiW card for my meals.

May 2009 I did a split stay at AKL and CSR with an AP ticketless pkg at both, that included the DxDDP at AKL and the basic DDP at CSR. We still had three meal credits and alot of snack credits left after our AKL stay, so used them for the first day of our CSR stay and didn't start using the basic DDP until the second day of the CSR stay. We just had two separate active KTTW cards that day and had to make sure we used the right one to use up all our DxDDP credits.

Off topic, but: Looking at your situation again, you might want to run the numbers. Since there are only two adults in your party and a child under 2 y/o, free dining might not be the best discount for you guys. If one of you got an AP, you could get a room discount for both of your ressies (for a deluxe the AP discount is usually 40%). The other person could buy a park ticket through one of the discounted companies (Maple Leaf, Undercover tourist, etc). Then as an AP holder, you could either buy the DDP without have to buy additional park tickets or just pay OOP for your meals. As an AP holder you would also qualify to buy the TiW card for $75.00 which would give you 20% off almost all TS restaurants (including several which don't even accept the DDP) and at some QS restaurants. The AP would also give you 10% off most merchandise purchases.

To get free dining you must pay rack rate for the room, buy each person in the room at least two day park tickets, and buy a $99.00 Memory book. For most couples or solos, the AP discount will easily beat free dining if you are staying in a deluxe or moderate. Free dining is usually only a better deal for large families and people staying in a value and sometimes moderate.

It will actually be 4 adults and 1 infant as my mom and sister are going as well. My original plan when they were going was to pray for a 40% and not do the dining plan. I hadn't considered the idea of only one of us doing the AP and TIW, thank you for that idea!! That memory book thing really annoys me though. $99 is a ripoff. I can make a much better book at Blurb for cheaper.
