Split Stay - Dining Plan ????

Just booked a split stay at POR!!!!!
5 nights on dining plan; 6 nights w/out dining plan.
AAA TA said I could save some of the credits from the first stay to second stay.
Is this correct? I thought the credits were tied to the room key...or do you get another card?

the TA is wrong. Credits expire at midnight the day you check out. So if you check out in the morning, you can still use credits that evening, but not the next day.

Yes that's correct. The credits expire at midnight the day of checkout. I'm curious why you are doing a split stay at the same resort

We are doing a split stay becuase we don't want the dining plan the entire time. We are doing a couple of character breakfasts the first part of the stay so we thought we would use those for the sit down part of the dining plan.

Our last trip we only did three sit downs in 10 days (2 character meals and one other) so the dining plan doesn't make much sense for us. Our sit downs will be Rose and Crown to see Illuminations (I hope), Sci Fi Dinner at MGM, Chef Mickey, and Cinderella's Castle for breakfast.

I am open to any other suggestions!
