Split Stay - Can I do this?

My wife and I want to take an anniversary trip on 1/31 - 2/7 at AKL. We want to do the Sunrise Safari and you need to stay concierge to do it. Our question is can we stay 1/31 - 2/4 and get 8 day passes then switch to concierge for the remainder with a room only reservation. We will be using AAA discount and no DP.
