Split stay at same resort and DDP

Hi! I apologize, once again, if this has been answered here before but, I did search and could not find my situation exactly.

We are planning to stay at BCV at the end of August, but do not have enough points to stay in a 1 bedroom the entire stay and DS and DH want to stay at BCV the whole time for SAB and closeness to Epcot etc. So, I figured we would stay in a studio first for a few days and then spend the rest of the stay in a 1 bedroom (providing these are available at the 7 month mark).

My question is as a DVC member can I buy the Disney Dining plan only for our studio stay since I imagine they will have to be 2 separate reservations even though it will be at the same resort?

I think I would like to try the plan but do not think it would worth it when we move to the 1 bedroom because we would probably cook a full breakfast everyday and maybe an occasional lunch or dinner. Thanks for all your help!!

Since you will have 2 seperate reservations, one for the studio, and one for the one bedroom, you can have DDP for one, or both.

Defininitely do it for the first stay, so you have your credits until midnight on the day you check out of the studio. Just make sure if you do have credits left and want to use them that day of the move, keep your studio resort room ids.

Just remember that all credits will have to be used by midnight of the day you check out. I've spoken to people who split stays and forgot that the credits for both stays weren't combined.

Thank you for the quick replies and reminder about it expiring on the day we checkout of the studio. Thanks so much, I am glad we can do this, I just have to check with dh and make sure he thinks it is a good idea too!

But then you risk having to move to a different villa. If you stay in the same one, they may link them and make them all one.
