Split stay and Magicband room charges question

My DH and I are staying at the Poly for 6 nights followed by 1 night at POFQ.

If we check out at 8am on Saturday from the Poly and will be "roomless" until we get a room text for POFQ later that day, will our magic bands still work for room charges while we are out at the parks? If yes, where do the charges go?

Also, I did online check-in and chose a credit card for room charges. Do I need to go the the desk when I arrive and have them set that up or verify anything?

After checking out of the Poly, you'll retain your room charging privileges for the remainder of that day. No issues there. The charges will go to the credit or debit card on file.

Did you set up a PIN for charging? If not, you'll need to do that, otherwise no (not for the credit card at least). Online check-in isn't an automatic bypass the front desk feature. You may or may not receive a text message or email with your room number once it's ready. I've received text messages about 75% of the time. If you don't, you'll want to stop by the online check-in desk in the lobby of the resort.

Don't forget to physically check out of the first resort before you check into the next one. Disney IT still hasn't resolved all the problems that occur with a split stay.
