I'm looking into splitting our stay between BWV (3 nights) - GF (4 nights) and AKL (4 nights). Can I get 10 day PHP's and add on the DP on our BWV reservation and just get rooms for the other two hotels? Or do I have to make seperate reservations with each hotel change? Thanks!

I am interested in this too, we are doing 2 seperate rezzes for our stay in Dec/Jan 07/08.

Any one know how that works?

You would have to have a seperate room ticket with each room to have the DP for the duration of your stay (as dining plan requires purchase of a package and only your first resort and tickets would be package, after that the other resorts would be room only). You oculd just have the DDP for the first part of your stay and then do room only for the rest with no dining plan.

The DDP expires at midnight of the day that you check out. We did a split stay last year and had different cards on the same day. I had to keep them straight and make sure I used the oldest ones first. We were on a points stay for our split stay so I could use what ever kind of ticket I wanted.

What type of stay are you on? If you are booking through Central Reservations, I am pretty sure that you have to have at least a one day ticket with each reservation to get the DDP.

What I have right now is 7 nights at GF with Magic Your Way and the DP. We move to the AKL after GF, for this part I have the Basic Plan. I was thinking of going to BWV before GF since we're planning on doing Epcot on those days.

Is there a better way to split this package? This is what I'm thinking:

We arrive late Saturday, so I'm not buying park passes for that day.
BWV for 3 nights, 2 day park passes.
GF for 4 nights, tickets + DP.
AKL for 4 nights, basic plan.

We wanted the DP specifically to eat at the nicer restaurants that we typically would avoid because of cost. We don't really need it for the whole trip. Any thoughts?

You need to price it out yourself - is it cheaper to purchase two-day passes for your BWV stay, then passes for your remaining days in conjunction with your GF stay; or is it cheaper to purchase ten-day passes at BWV and then one-day passes as part of your GF/DDP stay?

is bw a dvc reservation or a regular disney reservation? If it is dvc you dont have to purchase tickets with it to get the dining plan.

If you are going to book separate reservations and tickets with each You would probably do better price wise to buy full trip tickets with the first and one day tickets with the others...You then are not just less out of pocket now but you have a 1 day ticket to put aside for possible future use.

1 10 day ticket (adult) = 228
1 1 day ticket = 72
Total = 300

1 2day ticket = 141
1 7 day ticket = 224
Total 365

I think if it was me, I would buy the 10 day ticket and then the one day ticket on the other 2 reservations to qualify for the DDP. You do not have to activate your ticket until you need it. If you ever need to buy a 10 day ticket again or any other MYW ticket, you can take your one day tickets and apply that cost toward the purchase of the new tickets. Does this make sense? Make sure, if you go this route, that you don't put anything else on your room key, like a water park. It will make the one day ticket cancel in 14 days. Keep your one day ticket completely separate.

You will love the DDP. As some one as posted, you will not need a one day ticket at Boardwalk Villas if that is a rental from a DVC member on a points stay.

Not quite sure what you mean by "basic plan" for the AKL days? But as others have said if you are staying at BWV on points you can add dining plan without tickets.

Thanks for the information. I think I have a better idea of what to ask for when I'm booking. There are so many options available it can all be a bit overwhelming. I think I'll go for the 10 day tickets and add on the 1 day tickets to get the DDP's. Seems the best way to do this.

Mahalo! :)

for each res you have to book a min of 1 days base ticket to get DDP,unless one of the stays is in dvc then no requirement for the base ticket for that stay. But for each of the outher stays a base ticket is still required whichever way its split
