Split Reservations and Dining Plan

We are going to have a split reservation at BLT (5 days) and VWL (2 days) while we waitlist some days at BLT. Can we get the mealplan for only the 5 days at BLT and not the 2 days at VWL since it is technically two reservations?

If we get the additional 2 days from the waitlist would we have to do all 7 days for the dining plan? Does it become 1 reservation at that point?

I know for sure you can do the dining plan separately. I am doing a split stay at AKL and VWL in August and had to specifically request that it be added to both.

So if you only want it for your BLT ressie, you can set it up that way. However, when the wait list comes through, if it is for the same room type you have for the 1st 5 days, I would assume it will now count as one reservation.

If you want it to count as two, you would probably have to switch rooms and ask that it be treated as separate.

You can do it either way but if you get it so that it's a separate reservation you might have to change rooms. If you link them, it's then treated as one reservation and you must purchase the DDP for all.

If you change from a studio to a 1BR at the same resort, can you just get the meal plan for the studio or 1BR? We are staying 3 nights in each and I would like to just get the meal plan for only 3 nights (I don't want to gain 5lbs again).

Yes as these are separate reservations. If you did get it for the entire LOS for both reservations, it'd still be separate with credits from the first segment that expire the night of the change over day.
