Looks like we'll be eating there twice on our next trip. We know they give ou too much food, especially if you want dessert. If we split a plate, will we each get a soup/salad? I know we will each get a side but will it be one side each if your entree comes with two? Or will we get a total of 4 sides (2 each?). We have eaten here many times but each time we get our own entree and that was before it included soup/salad. Thanks!

Be aware that the Blue Bayou now imposes a plate-sharing charge. Aside from that, your sides will be split as well. For example, if an entree comes with two sides you will each get a half-portion of those two sides. If it comes with one side you will each get a half-portion of that side.

um ive heard they changed they dont give you the seprate sides any more.

Last time we were there they simply charge an extra $4.00 to split plates and the sides are decent size.

We usually eat dinner there once each trip, and the last three times on the way out from dinner we make a ressie and go back again only for dessert a couple days later. A full meal and dessert is too much for one sitting. We have a strong passion for the cookie boats, pirate: and the atmosphere is peaceful after a long day at the park.

We just went on July 22. They charge a split plate fee. You do get the meal on two separate plates. They used to give each one a full size portion of salad and sides. Not anymore. You literally split the salad and the sides as well now.

So then, exactly how is the split plate serving being done now? I think I became a bit lost. ;)

I was aware of the $4 split charge- no problem there. I have been reading on other threads about each person getting their own soup/salad and their own side. So now it sounds like they literally split the soup/salad and the sides now. Again no problem. I just want to make sure of what to expect. Thanks!

Yes, they are literally splitting the plate into two :)
