Splash Mountain Refurbishemnt

We are going January 19-27. Splash Mountain is my favorite ride. Does anyone think there is any possibility of the refurbishment being done before January 27? Does this happen very often?

January is such a great time to go for so many reasons (I, like you, went last January) but you never know what rides are going to be closed for refurb. Last year we missed Buzz Lightyear and Test Track, but that was ok. My son and I breathed a big sigh of relief because Splash is my favorite and Rock N' Roller Coaster is his favorite and I think both are down for refurb this year in January. And believe it or not, the ride in Mexico is our ever favorite thing to do in WS and it's closed in January too.!

But refurbs of major rides will not stop me from going in January. We find things to do and see that we might not have. Just wish we could know sooner than later what they plan to refurb...but I guess then people might not book at that time....such a dilemma.....
