Splash Mountain- Disneyland

Ok, so my mom's friend's family, went to Disneyland, and just got back yesterday. Apparently a CM (cast member, haha for those of you who don't know) had told them that the Splash Mountain was going to be taken down PERMANATELY! (sorry for the spelling) Which I imagine is false. I would think they are just doing a referb, but I was just curious if anybody else has heard anything simlilar? It'd help a lot if you could post! Thanks!

That's false. The CM was probably just messing with them. Splash Mountain will be closed for refurbishment mid to late-ish May, but it's going to reopen again in late May. Splash Mountain is one of Disney's most popular rides (and my personal favorite). There's NO way they'd close it for good.
