Ok..we are booked for our 3rd 4 night Wonder Cruise this July, but for 2010, I would like to do a family tour with our family of 5.
Which of the 2 tours do you recommend for our 3 boys who will then be 17,15 and 10. I love the idea of the history of the east coast, but the history of Disney in LA would be fun as well..We would only travel in the summer to maximize the number of kids on our tour..
Also, which month in 2009 do the pricing and itineraries come out?....
thanks so much!!!
......Spirit of America over Backstage magic because in essense Backstage Magic is WDW /
DCL .....it's just an east coast version of it. Yes, you do have your Jim Henson studio tour & yada yada yada...... but how many times are you going to see some of this nation's history of ours???? I mean, for example, do you know the history behind the phrase, "Smithsonian Institution" & how the buildings got their name & how the fledgling USA almost chose a different route in NOT creating these institutions???
Its this kind of Americana trivia (like the WDW "Voices of Liberty") that should move you and your family into seeing the Spirit of America tour.
Secondly, do you know why President Kennedy is buried where he is buried & who recommended that very location??? Again, this is why I feel & believe you should choose this tour over seeing Walt's apartment.
Not to take anything away from Walt here, it's just I feel that in today's society of IPODS, BLACKBERRYS, etc......having just a little of our nation's history in one's heart would do one a whole lotta good.
P.S. ....besides - ya might enjoy dancing the Virginia reel

as I too flipped back & forth between the very same 2 tours you are looking at as well before I chose Spririt of America tour - October 2009; with a pre-day added to it. --- Suggestion: You can also take your family on a tour of the Philadelphia Federal Reserve.....especially with today's economic climate - now that's one piece of history your children will ALWAYS remember as the auto industry is currently feeling
