We are going to the Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show on December 18 at 8pm.
It just dawned on me that it might be a very chilly experience since it is outdoors at 8pm in mid December.

Have a made a mistake?

Any advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Well it does get cool at night I would not worry too much.
I would check the weather a day or two out just in case it will be really bad.
Overall though it seem to be warmer this year than previous years.
No way to know what to expect for mid December.

You’re from Ontario, Canada so it should not be cold for you anyway ;).
I also would not be surprised is Disney has an outdoor heating system of some sort.
I can't imaging people in coats and such eating dinner in January when it is coolest in Florida.

I was there in December 2007 (I think it was the 3rd or 4th). I brought a sweater and was perfectly fine even though it was around 50 degrees outside. There are lots of people in the cove (body heat), the meal, torches all around etc...I did not feel one bit cold...and this is coming from someone who keeps the house at 72 degrees at all times.

The last time we were there for the late show, it really felt like there was some heat coming from the pipes above. They say if it gets too cold, they cancel the show.

The last two January's we have gone and attended the earlier show. Both times we were also seated in the back section (Cinderella). The plus side to that was we were protected a little more from the outside elements.
January 2008 near the end of the show a STRONG gust of wind came in and it started POURING.
That ended the show a little early. The fire dancer sure gave it his all in the downpour and even seemed to be enjoying it.
So, if January worked out fine, I would not be too concerned over December. Just take a jacket and dress appropriate for the weather.
It is true at a certain temp, the show is cancelled and you will be refunded, or rescheduled.

We were there for this the second week of December last year. It was our last day there, so I'm guessing maybe the 13th??? Can't remember what we were wearing, but I know that we were fine the whole night...just bring a jacket!

Being from Ontario myself I take offense to this comment. Didn't you see Marty Short in the film at the Canada Pavillion. We don't all live in igloos.:rotfl2:

I did not see it, but I think that was edited by Michael Moore.
He digitaly took out all the igloos and put in houses without door locks. ;)

Being from NE I am used to cooler weather, so I find it amusing when I go to Florida and I am in a t shirt and shorts and the locals are wearing hats and gloves.
