Hi fellow foodies,

I was just wondering if anyone has been to the Spirit of Aloha dinner show as I am wondering what it was like and how good was the food? Is it worth the money?

I thought it might be nice to see and watch wishes from the beach afterwards.

Sounds like the only thing that has changed is they now have tier seating.

We like the Luau, my daughter who was 1 at the time and step son who was 10 were a little board but the adults had a great time.

The food was good and there was plenty of it. And they had the kids go up and do the hula at one point.

We had a good time, to say it was worth the money....I'm on the fence. It was a little pricey but it was a long show. Worth doing atleast once in my opinion.

We have gone the Luau the last two years and will go again in Dec. We enjoy the show and think the dancers and especially the fire dancer are excellent. We really like the food and so does our DD9. I do feel the food gets unfairly bashed here on the Dis. Lots of people talk about the value for the money and I look it like this. We are in WDW everything is expensive. We are getting an all you care to eat and drink (wine & beer too) dinner, a live performance and a show like nothing we have in our small hometown. So yes I do feel it is worth the money. HTH:)

DD8 and I did this show last summer and loved it! The food was amazing! I can't remember the name of the dressing on the salad, but that was one of my favorite parts! Ribs were yummy too! Didn't love the volcanoe dessert though...think it was a mousse type thing! There definitely was plenty of it! We were a party of 2, but were served enough for a party of 4. Show was amazing. DD got to learn the hula, etc. Well worth the 2 TS from the DDP!!!! Doing again in 13 days!!!!

well these are more positive opinions than i have read! hmmmm very tempted does anyone have any pictures of this yummy food???

We went to the luau for the first time in September and we loved it.....we thought the food was great and the show was nice (liked the fire dancers at the end the best :)). I read many not-so-good reviews before I booked it and I'm glad I didn't let those reviews sway me into not going because we had a great time :goodvibes. I say give it a try and see for yourself.....we were not disappointed and we will definitely go again sometime :dance3:.

We went last September and LOVED it! I thought the food was pretty decent--and the show was great! I would definitely recommend it!

we went in 2006 and have it in our plans to go again in May. Personally i liked the food. LOVE the bread and dessert.

the show was good but i would prefer if they got rid of the cheesy "plot" and did a more traditional Luau dance show.

it's still good though and i love the dances (just not the "acting)
