If it works out that Disney offers free dining next year (end of Sept), then I was thinking of possibly going to this show. It's not something that we would be dying to go to, but I think my wife might enjoy it the most (of the 4 of us). But I was wondering what people thought about it. Any good or bad experiences? How was the food? Would 2 kids (ages 10 and 13) be bored, or is there enough to keep their interest? Would you say it's worth the 2 TS credits?
Any thoughts or comments you could make would be greatly appreciated.

BTW, we would also plan on going to the Hoop-De-Doo Review on a different night. (I'm pretty familiar with that show, and I know it's something we would enjoy).

Thanks.

I am doing this meal in just over 70 sleeps so I can't answer your question yet but I can in a couple of months :)

we "did" the luau several years ago and were very disappointed. the chicken was under cooked and the show was not great. i really think your children would be bored. there were very few traditional polynesian dances. maybe it has changed since then......good luck.:yay: i read in the 2009 birnbaum guide and it**sounds**as if the show has been changed. maybe call the dining number and ask about it.

We did it this time last year because a friend of my son's at school said it was the only meal at Disney he liked.
Well my kids were bored also . The musical part of the show takes so long before thay get to the cool fire part.

The best part about the meal - it came with free unlimited white wine. (& not the good stuff, just table type)

The overall theme of the show is corny, but touching , it's just small kids (under 13) will get restless.

We did this show in April with my then 2 year old and a 1 year old. We actually really liked the show. My 2 year old loved all the singing and dancing. We also thought the food was great. The only thing we were disappointed with was the dessert, the volcano cake at the end. But we thought it was fun and will definitely do it again on the next trip. :thumbsup2
