Well, just to follow up on a recent discussion on this board about the Spirit Airlines problem some board participants were having (as well as me). We booked online with Spirit to save some money. At the time of booking, we were told that we would be able to selecting seating at a designated date. When some of us had been going online at that date or after that date, we sometimes discovered that the flight times have been altered. We were told by customer service that we would not be able to select seats until the day of the flight. It had something to do with altering the times of the flight.
Well, today, despite having been told that a few weeks ago, I called on a lark and a customer service representative walked me through the steps of selecting seating online despite this previous problem I had. I asked her what had changed and she said that I had never called prior to making a selection and requested a confirmation of my reservation before. Somehow, that made it possible for me to go online and select a seat, despite the change in flight and how that made it impossible to select seating at the designated date initially mentioned.
I hope this helps any Spirit Airline customers who were in the same boat as I was. I know we discussed it here recently.
