Just wondering if anyone has a spiral binding tool? I know you can get them bound somewhere but does anyone have their own?

Thanks for your response!!

Couple questions if you dont mind....
do you like it?
Once you put the spirals on is it pretty sturdy, or do pages sometimes fall off?
It looks pretty tough! Does it punch chipboard?

Thanks again!

I do like it, it's very easy to use.
the machine cuts the holes, and yes it does chipboard nicely.
then you use the outer black part of the machine squeezes the rings closed.

They do hold up well too. I place the chipboard face to face so the inside covers of the book are facing out. Then put the rings on with the flat part on the back cover, then squeeze.
It gives a the book a nice layout, lays flat, and holds the paper nicely.

I have the Bind It All too and like it. It is simple to use and holds up well.

LindaBabe - the binding is put on by the tool. The tool clamps the binding together for you.

There are alot of how to videos on their site (binditall.com)

Thanks so much! I've been trying to search online for one but nothing like that came up. The only ones I could find were $100+ dollars or like big machine things for offices or something.

I just wanted something for crafts not to start spiral binding business!!

Should have checked w/ you guys first!!!;)

I just got my BIA off ebay a couple weeks ago for $50.00 plus $10.00 shipping, used it the other day and LOVE IT!!

There was a Tuesday Morning ad in my paper this morning. They have the Bind It All starter kit for $49.99.

I have the Zutter one too and love it. It's very easy to use. I made DS's autograph book for our last trip with it - which held up very well. I considered getting the book bound at Kinko's, just to make sure it was "professional" but Kinko's can't bind chipboard, and I loved my laminated chipboard cover and back.

I also made a board book for DS's first trip to the zoo with it. It turned out well, and has survived almost 2 years of toddler handeling, so things do not fall out.

If your binding doesn't seem tight enough, you just twist the knob to set it a bit tighter and squeeze it again (you don't have to get it perfect the first time through).

Wow, thanks for reminding me. I've got one of these buried in my closet somewhere. It does the plastic sprials like on calendars & school book reports. I made over 50 calendars one year as gifts. Never gonna do that again. OMG. LOL

Digging it out & going in the yardsale. Haven't used that thing in like 10 yrs.

Wish I could hit your yard sale, Beaucoup. :thumbsup2

I really need to get my BIA out and give it a try ... I've had it about 2 years and haven't used it yet. But I needed it ... really I did.

I understand this completely. I just gave my nanny a box of scapbooking supplies I "needed" - most of which were never opened - some have sat for 6+ years. Oh well... I "needed" the fun of buying them, I guess.

Of course, now I'm planning my new order of CTMH stuff that I "need."
