Spinoff: Do you have any stories about Disneyland being haunted?

There are stories of a Doombuggy in the Haunted Mansion that is supposedly really haunted. I don't remember the details, but if you do a search for "haunted Doombuggy", something will probably come up.

Are those stories from before or after happy hour?

I have seen that video before. I don't believe it is a real ghost, not that I can say that it isn't. I believe with proper analysis that the footage will be debunked.
It probably is a matter of reusing VHS tapes or other technical reason. Or it is a flat out hoax.

It would be a pretty expensive hoax. As for reusing videotapes, I've heard that explanation, but to be honest, it doesn't explain much to me. I never saw ghosts on my videotapes during the 80's and 90's. Much less ghosts that walked out of a Haunted Mansion, right down the sidewalk, through the gate, across the walkway and out into the Rivers of America. AHHHHHH!!!!

There was a pretty convincing explanation about it being the result of reusing the same videotape, actually. These monitors are focused on the same place, night after night after night, and the tape was reused, and there was also something about monitor burnout. This recording wasn't recent; it was 5 or 6 years ago and has recently resurfaced. The explanation I saw showed that a CM had walked the path the previous night, the gate had been open (he didn't walk through the gate like the 'ghost' does) and the trajectory was slightly different so while the CM stayed on the walkway, the 'ghost' appears to walk out onto the water. When we used to reuse tapes in the way back when, we probably didn't record nonstop, every day. But who knows? Maybe if we took another look at our old videotapes, we'd see some ghosts!

I don't think this is anything supernatural, but if people want to believe in ghosts, fine by me! I know I can't stop watching that show The Haunted, LOL, even though I'm a skeptic.

As for the so very tragic death of Miss Debbi Stone. I don't believe for one minute, that her spirit, lives as it were, anywhere in the park. I believe that in all likelihood there may very well be residual energy that remains. Because many people do believe that when a person dies suddenly and so tragically, that it may leave an imprint on the environment and yes it also can make for a haunting spirit. But in this case I do not believe that she is anywhere at Disneyland. I prefer to believe that her spirit is at peace and is free.


This was an accident waiting to happen. And it did. It wasn't until after her death, did Disney put into effect safety measures. Why not do so before America Sings originally opened to the public? Proper training had also been called into question.

I feel so sorry for her and her family and true friends.

I figure it will never be known exactly how this terrible accident occured. It seems like a real mystery. Like the after life.
