We are taking my DS to Disney, Sea World etc. in July and as this is the first time to Florida since his accident (C4 Spinal injury, broken neck) I would welcome any advice. Before his accident he actively went on all the rides so I want to be prepared to avoid rides that are unsuitable so as not to upset him. I have also read quite a bit of threads re the negativitety of the GAC at US and as my son can't stay outside in the sun to long I am a bit worried about the queuing. Also has anybody any tips about the plane journey

CJay,
Call Disney and ask to speak to someone in Guest Services who can help guests with special needs. Explain as you just did on this thread about your son's situation. They will send you booklets written for guests with specials needs, describing the rides and ways to best use the parks. Most importantly, they will devise a solution for your problem of not being able to stand a long time in the lines. You could probably wait until you get to Florida to do this, but it would be a shame to waste valuable vacation time looking for the right person to explain this all to when a few minutes on the phone now could take care of this. Don't know about Sea World, Universal and others, but think they, too, must surely have a way to help your son safely enjoy his vacation.
Good luck. Have fun. Best wishes for your son’s complete recovery.

CJay,

Definitely post on the disABILITIES forum with this question too as I'm sure you will get lots of great advice there :)
