Great poll topic today, @slo , with lots of people adding interesting information beyond the specific question about their shoes and I'm curious like that. :goodvibes

Ladies, do you wear heels? I ask because a number of posters mentioned only wearing runners (what you call sneakers) or crocs or whatever. Practically every pair of shoes I own has at least a 3" heel, even my winter boots. As I've aged I've started going more to block heels and wedges than spikes, but I still like them high. I have exactly one pair of runners, worn only if I need walk a lot or do some active recreation. I have one pair of (almost) flat pool/beach sandals and a pair of water shoes. What about you?

No heels for me. Too unsteady anymore. For me they are uncomfortable.

.Sandals all the time....in the house it used to be barefoot, but now I wear sandals (different ones) in the house too. Because of Plantar Fasciitis.

Hardly ever and if I do it is more of a block or wedge heel. I am short too. I work in healthcare so heels have never been practical. 😂 I also have flat feet so not comfortable. In the summer I wear flat sandals, Keds or Toms ( apparently not in anymore 😬). . I need to find an alternative this year. In winter I have some flat Clark dress shoes and flat boots with the exception of one pair of dressier boots that have a smaller heel. I have a few shoes with heels when we go out but rarely wear them. Running shoes andhiking shoes for those activities.

I have worn heels in the past. Anything from a 2" to 4" high. Now that I'm older (with a hip replacement), I'm leery of tottering around on them. And I never found them very comfortable, I would only wear them if I wasn't going to be standing/walking much.

I only wear my running shoes as I call sneakers all the time if going out. Barefoot or socks in the winter in the house. I don’t like slippers either.

My husband is short so I only wear a very low heel when dressing up which isn’t often. I do wear flat sandals in the summer.

:goodvibes My BF has this situation too. She says she used to long for snazzy heels during their early years together but the idea of her being taller horrified him. I'm short and never had to deal with it, but I wonder how many people would be put off by the lady being taller than the man? Maybe I should spin off another thread from this one - with a poll!!

no, no heels. I do have one old pair of life strides that have about a 2 inch heel, and one pair of some weird black sandal things with about a 2 inch heel. I have bunions, have been severe enough for surgery for the last 20 years, but if I just wear the ugly, comfortable flats, I'm ok. So no heels for me! and at 4'11" I sure could use them.....

Nope, no heels. I like sandals in summer, sneakers in winter. I have one pair of heavier sneakers I wear in snow.

As a rule, no to heels. I have a few pairs with 2 inch heels and maybe 1 with 3 inch heels but rarely wear them. But I’m 5’8” so don’t really need them. DH is 6’.

I rarely wear heels - only if I’m dressing up for a special occasion…and even then they tend to be a wedge or a fairly low heel…I never was one to wear really high heels. I look at women wearing stilettos and I think ‘Dang-their feet must be killing then’. I was in NYC once for work and there happened to be a Gay pride parade…some of the men were dressed exquisitely - I admit, I was jealous they looked so gorgeous, hair and make up done perfectly etc - then I looked at their size 10 big gnarly man feet crammed in 4-5 inch stilettos - I felt so bad for them…

no heels for uears. I might get some if I get my future post divorce glow up. Those would lean towards kitten heel because I never walk welll in heels over 3 inches.

I would say 75% of my shoes are heels or wedges. The 25% are sneakers, flip flops, and uggs.

My gram wore heels her whole life. When she was 94 the doctor told her she couldn’t wear heels anymore. She told him to kill her because there was no point in living without hot shoes. I get it from her 😂

I'm 5'2" so heels, wedges, chunky soled shoes used to be away of life. Two kids and three ankle injuries later, I mainly wear flats--sneakers, Tevas, ankle height lug sole boots. I did buy some block heel clogs since my oldest kid is closing in on my height, but I refuse to wear them if there's snow on the ground.

Sadly, no heels for me anymore

I have 2 knees that need to be replaced, a nonoperable bone spur in my left ankle, and a plantar fascia that was torn and operated on in the right foot. All which don’t allow heels. So sad, I enjoyed wearing heals when I did.

None, not practical, hurt my feet, and are generally likely to cause foot/ankle/back issues. I have hiking shoes, running shoes, water sandals, and birkenstocks. Some nice clog slippers for around the house. And an old pair of hiking shoes I use for yard work. That's all.

I used to only wear heels, but now I spend most of time running around after kids, so it's mostly sneakers or crocs. I still have a couple pairs of heels/boots with heels, but it's rare that I wear them.

Never had a pair of heels in my life.. 2 inch pumps were my sunday shoes. My working days were on my feet constantly, so sneakers/work boots (had steel toes).
