My family talked me into going on this during our visit last year but I never got the chance because it broke down both times I was in line. I'm starting to think this is NOT the ride for me and it's telling me so! lol Can anyone explain this ride to me or compare it to another ride? I'm not sure I believe my family who only went on it once. They say they are not sure if they ever left the room they were in????

yes I do believe it moves due to I think I heard the ride building is like and acre if I am not mistaking and its a great ride in the fact that the 3-D is great and the way the effects make you think your going up in the air as well as falling.
Hope I didn't spoil it for you but ride it cause its one of universals best rides and the only two others I really like is The Hulk and The Mummy.:cool1:

It does move. There are some TMs and some former TMs on this board that can confirm that....anyone?

The ride building is MASSIVE. Once the scoop leaves the load station, it travels through several ride scenes. There are 13 individual 3D screens that the scoop interacts with. The ride is EXTREMELY technical, so it is prone to technical difficulties.

OK so the scoop (is this what you sit in?) moves but does it drop? I understand that 3D can make you feel like your dropping but the scoop doesn't drop. My family said they moved forward, backwards, sideways and such.

The scoop (what you sit in) does travel along a track on the floor. It never leaves the floor, but does move like a simulator....tilting forward, backwards, etc.... With the way the scoop moves, and the movie screens and your 3D glasses, you feel like you drop...it can be very realistic feeling....but rest assured, your scoop does NOT leave the floor! :thumbsup2 Have you tried to view it on YouTube??? Sometimes you can get someone posting good video ;)

The scoop has full 360 degree spinning capability, plus the ability to move up and down. Allow me to use some crude ascii to demonstrate:

Basically, the dashed lines indicate the RV base. The base moves in one direction: straight. The U is where you sit. Three rows of four. The | indicates the "Axes" if you will. They allow the upper portion to move up/down/left/right/whatnot.

All flying/falling effects are simulated, though the RV actually does ascend/descend. Not much, though. Maybe 10" above the base. Max.

Thank you.....I understand now!! I can handle a simulators drop but NOT a roller coaster drop. I will give this ride another chance, lol but don't get in line with me just incase it breaks down.
