Spiderman rehab

Most of the rehab is done behind the scenes. They have to reanimate the entire film to the new high def. New projectors will need to be installed but some have already been installed (not being used though).

Hopefully, the down time for the ride will be minimal when they are actually doing final testing and tweaking.

Back before the announcement, I remember reading someplace about some of the scenes already finished and being used on the new system. Is this still the case or was that simply to test how it work look? I am really hoping to see some of the upgraded scenes on my trip in June. Anybody been lately to see if they are still using the new scenes or did they revert them back?

From what I've heard, nothing that you see has changed.

I remember where I read that...it was on Screamscape. Here is what it says:

While the new fully upgraded Adventures of Spider-Man ride wont be ready to open until sometime in 2012, this has apparently not stopped the park from installing new digital projection systems into the existing ride. I’ve now heard various reports claiming that screens 2, 3, 4 and 5 may have now been upgraded to some new digital technology and are looking better than ever.

While this doesn't come out and say "The new animated scenes are in place for parts of the ride" it does mention the upgrade to the projections. I guess the more I read it, the more I think it simply is new projectors for the old scenes so when they finally do the upgrade, all the projectors will be in place and they simply change the videos from the old ones to the new. Is this the case or do these scenes mentioned really have the new animations?

There will be completely different glasses for the new technology. So once you are no longer using the polarized cheap glasses, you will know the system has changed to the new 4K, 3D film.
