So how much is Sony getting for those rights?

It is part of Disney+ "Pay cable 2" window output deal. Sony movies released theatrically from 2022-2026 will...

1. Go to Netflix for the "1st Pay TV window” in the U.S. (like they used to go to HBO, Showtime, Starz,. etc.)
2. Then to Disney+ for the "2nd Pay TV Window” in the U.S. (like when they used to go to TBS/TNT, USA, FX, etc.). This just isn't for Marvel, but will include other Sony films going to Disney+ and Hulu for a period of time

The Spider-Man movies are part of the "back catalog" as part of both of those deals and will cycle through Netflix, Disney+, and other channels/services. So these Spider man movies will be on Disney+ for a few months, then leave to go elsewhere, then come back, over the next 4-5 years.

These Sony movies have different distribution deals in other countries, but many of those are will Disney as well.
