We had the most amazing trip ever! We got in late Thursday 9/27 and stayed at Sports for the night. We checked into CSR the next morning around 9:30 am. We had done online check in and our room was ready, and our Casitas request had been made. We were in Casitas 5, on the third floor overlooking the lake. Gorgeous view, King bed room. Perfect! Next time we will pay for a preferred room though because we love Casitas 3 (we got pixie dusted with a room there our first stay). Mousekeeping was awesome, we made requests for early service and they were done by 1 pm every day. We didn't eat at the resort because we don't love the food options, but many people do.
Our two nights at AKL were AMAZING! Just WOW at the Savannah view. We were in 2515 and it was the perfect location for us. We were right at animal level, and we had the best view of giraffes, ankole, ostrich, and more! We did not get mousekeeping since we were only there fri-sun we didn't need it, but the mousekeepers in our hallway were amazing and nice. I will say that there was an odd vibe at this resort. We have stayed at many WDW resorts, and something was just kinda weird about this one. The other guests weren't very friendly was the main thing I think. We would smile and say good morning or hello and people were just not having it lol! Didn't stop us from being nice, but sheesh! We got to do pin trading with the King Pin, it was so fun! I think this is a perfect resort if you have kids and can afford it. There's a great playground right by the pool! Really really great! The pool games going on for the kids were awesome too. We spent most of our time maxxin relaxxin and enjoying the resort. Mara was awesome, and Boma breakfast of course was terrific. Chef Amber made me fresh GF/DF Mickey waffles that were divine!!!!
We used online check in for all 3 resorts, and had no issues whatsoever. Our requests were met at all resorts, and our rooms were ready exactly when we said we would be arriving, even as early as 9:30 am. We didn't use the buses either, as we had a rental car. I'll be happy to answer any questions
